Baikal-T1 Embedded Computer

Custom embedded computer based on the Baikal-T1 processor with DDR memory, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA, M.2, USB and industrial interfaces.

Project Overview

Development of a custom embedded computer based on the Baikal-T1 processor. The system includes DDR memory, three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, SATA 3.0, M.2 SATA, USB 2.0, USB Type-C UART, RS-485 full duplex, GPIO, SPI and I2C interfaces. The work covered system architecture, schematic design, processor and memory integration, power architecture, multilayer PCB design and manufacturing preparation. Particular attention was paid to DDR routing, signal integrity, controlled-impedance interfaces, return paths, power integrity and high-speed layout. The hardware was designed using Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.
